Kalypso Kampani is an art conservator with an international background in the care, study and preservation of cultural heritage. Her work spans museums, historic buildings and private collections, shaped by more than two decades of experience across the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Greece. She holds a BA (Hons) in Conservation of Decorative Finishes and an MA in Conservation of Historic Objects from the University of Lincoln, UK, alongside a certificate in Art Curating from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, and she also holds Professional Accreditation from the Greek Ministry of Culture.
Her practice is defined by a measured, research-led approach that combines technical expertise, material understanding and sensitivity to the architectural settings in which artworks exist. Her specialisation includes wall paintings, mosaics, easel and panel paintings, polychrome sculpture, gilding, plaster, stone and mixed-media works, informed by a deep awareness of materials and conservation ethics.
Through close collaboration with architects, engineers, curators and specialist consultants, she contributes to projects that require coordinated planning, technical precision and long-term preservation strategies. Her work supports the stabilisation of heritage structures, the preventive care of collections and the preparation of exhibitions for museums, cultural institutions and private estates.

About Kalypso Kampani
She has worked on complex conservation projects within museum collections and heritage properties in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Greece, contributing to projects that require technical precision and interdisciplinary coordination. Alongside her practical work, she serves as a conservation consultant and lecturer in wall paintings and mosaics conservation. She has collaborated with the University of Lincoln and City & Guilds of London Art School, London, UK, supporting the training of BA and MA conservation students through lectures, internships and supervised projects, contributing to the formation of the next generation of conservators.
Her philosophy is rooted in thoughtful observation, ethical responsibility, deep respect for the stories embedded in each artwork. She approaches every project with measured judgement, prioritising minimal intervention to preserve original materials while ensuring long-term stability.
